Crazy Lady Collectibles
I have recently started a new hobby. I am selling collectibles on eBay, items that I have found around my house.
And why do I have collectibles just sitting around my house? We didn’t save all these things with the intention of selling them one day. It’s simply boxes of stuff that we packed up and brought with us when we moved to this house almost 25 years ago and never looked at again. Sports cards, magazines, comic books, video games, coins, and more.
It started a few years ago, as I was beginning my journey in Swedish death cleaning. As I proceeded to go through all the boxes in storage in the basement crawlspace, I discovered many items that qualified as vintage collectibles, including a few souvenirs from my childhood. From hockey cards and comics, to old brochures, postcards and magazines, I found a variety of items that are worth listing, including a POG collection and two wind-up dancing dolls from Austria, circa 1969.
I had tucked these items aside at that time and recently rediscovered them, so I started organizing everything and taking product photos. I also setup an eBay account and called it Crazy Lady Collectibles. Why the crazy part? Because when I asked my adult son if it was OK to sell some of his old hockey cards, he said, “Sure, but don’t go crazy!” And there it was – my new eBay name – kind of catchy and easy to remember – AND it wasn’t already taken.
Here are my current listings. I’m just getting started, so many more things to add.
